MEDICAL MARIJUANA 16 States with Pending Legislation to Legalize Medical Marijuana – Bills that would legalize medical marijuana are being considered in 16 states in 2012. 10 bills carried over from 2011 in states that have two-year legislative sessions. One state, Delaware, passed medical marijuana in 2011. Medical marijuana has been legalized in 16 states and Washington, DC.

DRINKING AGE 40 States That Allow Underage (under 21) Alcohol Consumption – 40 US states have exceptions to allow underage consumption of alcohol under certain circumstances including medical, educational, or religious purposes. 10 states and the District of Columbia allow no exceptions in their underage alcohol consumption laws.
