Review elements of T.I.M.E. in this brief slide presentation.

Complete an analysis by telling the  T.I.M.E.  of the poem. (See page 5 in handout packet at this link.)

Introduction

  1.  What is the most memorable idea, image, or literary device you recall about the poem? What direct quotation from the poem would be an effective attention-getter?
  2. State the title and author of the poem.
  3. State your thesis – what ideas will you have in each paragraph?

Body

  1.  What is the poem about?  Consider T. information.
  2. What is the structure of the poem?  Consider I. and M. information.
  3. Use the literary terms to discuss your response.
  4. What is the author’s attitude? Your response? Consider E. information.

Conclusion

  1.  Summarize ideas discussed by connecting the structure to the message and/or your response to the poem.
  2. How did the author’s use of images and music convey the message and influence your response?

    I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on
    everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress orr go for a paid option?
    There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..

    1. I’ve been satisfied with the free options offered by WordPress. Try that first. If you want something more sophisticated, you can upgrade to one of their premium templates.
